Every time I go into her room, she’s
asleep on top of her favorite tiger book.

If she was awake, she would be
turning the pages and roaring.
And it makes me wonder…
When was the last time I escaped
into a book?
Like really, really escaped?
So this is my challenge… to myself
as well as to you…
To take that hour of T.V. I usually
watch… and escape in another way.
Through the pages of a book.

Fall....I'm wearing jeans in GA in August because I am impatient for Fall. Sigh.
ReplyDeleteI recently read Sixty Acres and a Bride by Regina Jennings - and loved it. (It had been sitting, waiting for me while I began writing my own book and suddenly couldn't read anything else because my characters consumed my attention.)
