That really touched home with me. I think what I've been struggling with is knowing what conflict to bring, because I also like things at peace and happy characters. I told a writer friend she'd have to help me with the mean parts, but I'm gonna work on it too. Thanks :) I struggle sometimes with being too nice to my characters, but I'm slowly learning to make life harder for them, and be a meany ;) I've heard writers say, make your characters EARN their happy ending; don't give it to them on a silver spoon. Or something like that.
